Sets of three matching “common” animals can be traded in for bonus effects. Players must routinely choose between gaining “Resource” or “Peril” cards, or cleverly “peeking” at the bottom of decks.

Some cards can “manipulate” the decks to your favor, like “hideaway”, “transport”, or “explore”. Others can hinder your opponent like “quicksand”, “off limits”, or “man-eating plant”.
